Where does the Wormhole go?

Hello and thank you for visiting PCWormhole.com. The Wormhole is the fastest path through cyberspace… to a destination where some of the leaders in PC building and overclocking share their discoveries with you. The authors and contributors here are using state of the art enthusiast class (“bleeding edge”) components, super cooling them, and pushing them to their limits. These extremely overclocked rigs are then used to run benchmarks or tests, which determine the success or failure of these overclocks. The results are then uploaded to a site called HWbot which is an overclocking league where teams from all over the world compete. Our scores are compared to other’s scores in that particular benchmark with similar equipment and then ranked accordingly. It is this competition and sense of teamwork, not to mention the thrill of a great “oc”, which spurs us on.

My home forum is Overclockaholics.com. OCA is the home of the top team in the United States of America, OC Alliance. There is a wealth of knowledge and some amazing people in OCA as well as many other forums on the web. I felt there was a need for another platform to showcase there amazing accomplishments. The links for these forums as well as “the bot” are listed within our sidebar here at the wormhole. Please let me be clear about who can contribute here,… anyone with a helpful “team” disposition, who is active on any HWbot team and “pushing the envelope” benching is welcome to contribute here.

Unfortunately all to often, troubleshooting tips or great product reviews are lost in the back pages of our forums. Add the fact that these teams are exclusive and take a lot of work to join, and a great deal of very valuable information is lost or misplaced. I am very proud of my peers and felt they might enjoy a new additional venue. Greater exposure to possible sponsors or up-and-coming talent, is a win-win for all involved.  All contributors have graciously agreed to write and publish anything they find interesting in the PC overclocking universe. In addition those authors who are willing, have agreed to answering questions through email accounts hosted here to promote overclocking efforts abroad.

In the months and years to come, PCWormhole looks forward to the contributions by this exceptional group of people. I have had the great fortune of working with many of them, and anticipate great things from our new members too.

Where does the Wormhole go? Its anyone’s guess, but I am sure it will be one hell of a ride!
